Memduh Kuzay was born in Kayseri 1957. He graduated from the workshop Prf. Ozdemir Altan in the painting department as Mimar Sinan University in 1985. Between 1986 and 1992, he went to USA and studied painting. After returning in 1994, Kuzay continued his study at the faculty of fine arts of Mersin University, teaching as a tutor.
Between 1995 and 1998, he served as Deputy Dean in the faculty of fine art; and as Deparment chair in the painting Department of Mersin University. He has had many solo exhibitions and participated in numerous group exhibitions in Turkey and abroad. In 2000 Kuzay quit his university. In the next year, he received the best artist award in the outdoor show in Chicago.
Currently, Kuzay lives and continues his work in Istanbul and Mersin.
